Brick / Peyote Stitch bead pattern for a Sugar Skull Cat inspired by the skull art of the Day of the Dead holiday.
The cat sugar skull is made on a peyote stitch graph but stitched in the brick stitch bead weaving technique using size 11 Delica seed beads and Fireline thread. A list of suggested materials is provided for you in this one page file download. I used 207 beads in 8 different colors but feel free to change the colors or supplies to your liking.
The finished sugar skull cat measures approximately 28 mm wide by 23 mm in height and is a little bigger than my usual pieces. The size may vary according to the beads you choose to use.
Please note, NO instructions are provided. Though this is an easy bead pattern, you must have experience with basic stitches (ladder, brick or peyote stitch)
Your finished beadwork can be made into a necklace pendant, charm, earrings or your own creative jewelry design.
