Hello Everyone, and Welcome to Bead Crumbs - the cute bead pattern shop!
I love creating my own mini beadwork charm designs and I am happy to share the PDF digital patterns with you. My favorite method of stitching is the brick stitch technique because of it's tight weave and uniformity. The majority of patterns that I list in my shop are made on a peyote or brick stitch graph (and by rotating the pattern you can stitch your piece in either method). My bead of choice is professional quality Miyuki Delica beads. These beads have a cylinder shape that makes it great for stitching charms and there are a wide variety of pretty bead colors to choose from as well. Suggested materials will be listed on the pattern that you purchase but generally it includes:
- 6 lb Fireline Thread
- Size 12 beading needle
- Miyuki Delica 11/0 beads
What can you use your charms for? Many beaders use their charms as components in jewelry designs by making earrings, pendants, or charm bracelets. Charms are also popular as stitch markers or progress keepers for knitters and crocheters. I use my charms as decorative accessories for my bag, keyring and anything else I can dress up. Others beaders simply like to make and collect these cuties. Oh the possibilities!
If you are purchasing a pattern, may I suggest that you create an account? By creating an account, your pattern will remain in the "purchases section" of your Etsy account and you will be able to access your documents at any time. If you don't have an account the pattern link will be emailed directly to you and will not be stored on Etsy. Unfortunately, I will not be able to retrieve the file information in any lost emails.
Pattern prices begin at $1.50. I try to keep my pattern prices low to spread the fun of beading while still allowing me to continue to do what I love. I also offer free patterns on Instagram (@beadcrumbshawaii,search #beadcrumbsfree). I encourage those who are new to bead weaving to try the free patterns before making a purchase. Many amazing tutorials are available on YouTube and beading sites. Search "brick stitch tutorials". You can also find me, Bead Crumbs Hawaii, on YouTube, but fair warning - I don't like teaching on camera!
For those selling and/or publishing photos of your beadwork made from my patterns, please read my FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions). It addresses my policies and some of the reasons for these policies. Read more here.
Feel free to send me an Etsy message if you have any questions. Thank you so much for joining me!
